Clear and fast adhesive, especially suitable for joining rigid PVC pipes and fittings up to 12 “(315mm) in diameter for Schedule 80 (pressure installations) and 18” (457 mm) for Schedule 40 (non-pressure installations).
Suitable for use in drinking water installations. Meets the requirements of ASTM D-2564 “Standard Specification for Solvent Cements for Poly (Vinyl Chloride) (PVC) Plastic Piping Systems”. Certified by NSF for ASTM D-2564, NSF / ANSI 14, and NSF / ANSI Standard 61 for use on potable water, drain, waste, vent, and sewer applications. May be used without the use of cleaner / primer if local codes allow.
Low VOC content below 425 g/l. for use in the construction of environmentally sustainable buildings.
Application:
Prepare the pipes by cutting them at a right angle and cleaning them with PVC Cleaner.
Stir well before use and apply by a proper applicator. Apply a full, even layer of PVC Cement to the pipe and fitting socket. Immediately insert the two parts whilst simultaneously twisting ¼ turn (90 degrees) until reaching the socket bottom.
Hold the pipe and fitting together for a minimum of 30 seconds until the PVC Cement develops the initial welding. Remove excess solvent cement with a paper towel soaked with PVC Cleaner. Do not handle the welded parts for the next 15 minutes.
Drying time: 2 hours. The pipeline can be tested under pressure (12 bar) after drying for 2 hours at a temperature above 15 ⁰C.
Curing time: The curing time should be increased at temperatures below 15 ⁰C or if the diameter of the pipe is greater than 3”. It is recommended to wait 24 hours before pressurizing the pipeline. The welded pipes should be lowered into the trench after 10 to 12 hours.
