Anaerobic sealant for threaded metallic accessories. Reacts with every type of metals and in absence of air, producing a flexible film that withstands pressure and temperature.
Anaerobic is a slow curing pipe-sealant that provides a non-shrink, instant low pressure seal.
Advantages:
- Trixotropic properties that prevent sealant migration before and during its curing.
- High resistance to temperature, corrosion, vibrations, water, gases, oil, hydrocarbon and to the majority of chemicals.
- Instant sealing for pressure up to 30 bar; gives a flexible film that avoids leaks, substituting PTFE tape and hemp.
- Easily dismantling, even after some years.
- Not suitable for plastics (PVC, polythene, polypropylene, etc.).
Capacity:
As a guide, 50 mL of Sealant THREAD LOCKER is enough for sealing 150 ½ “threads.
Application:
Both the pipe and the accessory must be dry, clean and free of rust, dust or grease. First apply a string of Sealant Thread Locker at the end of the male piece and screw it in, removing any excess adhesive with a cloth. Pieces can be manipulated after 15 – 30 minutes without affecting curing, depending on the gaps between the parts to be bond. After 1 – 3 hours the installation can be used, although the adhesive finishes curing after 24 hours. The curing time may change depending on the ambient temperature and the materials where the adhesive is applied. Fresh product can be cleaned easily with a cloth.
