Two-component water-based epoxy paint for floors. Cured with amine adduct, combines good chemical resistance, mechanical properties and excellent hardness. Formulated to be applied in a thick layer, even on slightly damp surfaces. Recommended application thickness between 120 – 150 microns wet.
Ideal for asphalt conglomerates, concrete pavements, cements and other common areas such as garages, warehouses, etc. It is working well as a finishing coat on walls or floors in interior areas of hospitals, schools, slaughterhouses, etc., where solvent-based products cannot be applied due to low ventilation and where high chemical resistance is required.
It can be applied to a large number of substrates such as wood, metal, tiles and low porosity materials.
*In low porosity surfaces, it is recommended to carry out a prior compatibility test.
Application:
Mix the two components in a ratio 3:1 by weight. To achieve this proportion, the entire content of component B must be poured over component A.
Stir mechanically to achieve homogenization of the mixture. Once both components are mixed, it is recommended to wait 10 minutes of induction time before starting the application. The mixture must be used within 1,5 hour. After that there is a significant increase in viscosity. It is not recommended to divide the products to perform partial mixes, since a wrong mix ratio can affect the final result.
New floor: Apply on a clean and dry surface, free of dust, grease and moisture. The surface must be porous. Otherwise, a superficial roughing should be carried out using a milling or shot-blasting machine. Apply the first coat diluted up to 20%, which will serve as a sealer for the surface. Proceed with the rest of the coats till you reach the desired result.
Previously painted floor: It is advisable to remove old paint by blasting or mechanical stripping, then proceeding as if it were a new floor.
* In case of low temperatures, it may be necessary to dilute in order to apply correctly.
By brush: dilute up to 5% with water.
By roller: dilute up to 5-10% with water. Use wool or short-haired thread roller.
Airless: dilute up to 10% with water.
Drying time:4-6 hours
Recoating time: 12 hours
* Recoating must be done between 24 and 72 hours, maximum within 7 days.
