Two-component epoxy primer, based on the epoxy-polyamide system, especially recommended as a reinforcing layer for for concrete substrates. It can also be applied as a varnish over Solvent Epoxy Paint in order to improve both the performance and durability of the system, acting as a protective layer.
It can be used for the protection of cement and concrete pavements when a transparent finish is required as a primer and finish coat. Suitable for industrial and decorative areas as it provides good mechanical resistance. It is compatible with a wide variety of finishes. It can be repainted with Solvent Epoxy Paint and 2C Polyurethane Paint.
It also has very good adhesion on other supports such as tiles, polyester, steel, aluminum, glass, etc.
Interior and exterior application for sealing porous surfaces.
Application:
Mix the two components a ratio 3:1 by weight or 2,67:1 by volume. To achieve this proportion, the entire content of component B must be poured over component A.
Stir mechanically to achieve homogenization of the mixture. Once both components are mixed, the paint is ready to use. The mixture must be used within 6 hours. After that there is a significant increase in viscosity. It is not recommended to divide the products to perform partial mixes, since a wrong mix ratio can affect the final result.
New floor: Apply on a clean and dry surface, free of dust, grease and moisture. The surface must be porous. Otherwise, a superficial roughing should be carried out using a milling or shot-blasting machine. Apply Solvent Epoxy Primer in layers until reaching the recommended thickness. Allow it to dry and recoat with Solvent Epoxy Paint or Polyurethane Paint.
Previously painted floor: It is advisable to remove old paint by blasting or mechanical stripping, then proceeding as if it were a new floor.
Drying time: 4-6 hours
Recoating time: 24 hours
* Recoating must be done between 24 and 72 hours, maximum within 7 days.
