Amalgamator is a penetrating “padding agent” that eliminates alcohol rings and heals checked or crazed finishes (alligator marks). This product will be absorbed by the damaged finish and draw together the checked or crazed marks. Once the separations have been reflowed they will remain healed.
Amalgamator is also ideal for repairs of white rings caused by water or alcohol.
Once the defect has been eliminated, it is recommended to apply Rapid Pad® Padding Finish over the entire surface to seal the Amalgamator. Product must be top coated to attain wearing qualities.
- Amalgamator does not harm the original finish.
- This product is effective on conventional conventional finishes not on catalyzed finishes. Catalyzed finishes have a resistance in solvents.
Directions:
First apply Amalgamator Solvent to the pad. Then add a little Amalgamator. Tap the pad in palm of hand to disperse the solution. Apply in a circular motion. Do not stop with pad on surface, as this will cause an imprint. Finish off by padding with the grain. Use Rapid Pad as a finish topcoat.
